One label, one chance
Every order came down to a packer reading the correct product name off a label. Nothing verified the pick, so a misread became a mispick.
Morgenlevering delivers breakfast, flowers and gifts to the door before the recipient wakes up. To widen what it could offer without letting quality slip, the Norwegian e-commerce company moved off manual, label-by-eye packing and onto Bitlog. The return rate is now roughly half of what it was at relaunch, and revenue grew 25% from 2024 to 2025.

“Here at our warehouse in Vestby, it's a total change. We've gone from manual packing to a fully advanced picking process, where the tablet shows you what to pick and where it sits, and you scan both the shelf and the carrier.”
Morgenlevering is a Norwegian e-commerce company, owned by Vend, that has been delivering good mornings since 2015. It sends breakfast, baked goods, flowers, gifts and corporate orders to the door, ready before the recipient wakes.
Working with skilled bakers, suppliers and its distribution partner Helthjem, it reaches homes across Østlandet, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim and Agder. From its warehouse in Vestby, the team pairs a fast, entrepreneurial pace with a supply chain that never stops changing.
Before Bitlog, Morgenlevering packed everything by hand. Products were laid out on a table around the packer, who placed them into boxes and bags based on what the label said. It worked, but only as long as one person read the right name every time.
Every order came down to a packer reading the correct product name off a label. Nothing verified the pick, so a misread became a mispick.
As the assortment changed fast and more people joined the packing line, the odds of an error climbed with every new product and every new pair of hands.
The old systems couldn't track anything as it happened. Problems surfaced after the fact, in returns, not on the floor where they could be caught.
Morgenlevering had a clear picture of the system it wanted. Focused on pick and pack, not a sprawling platform. Simple and quick to learn, so a new packer could more or less plug in and start. Reliable, and backed by real support. The team wasn't shopping for software so much as a partner who could help it get more efficient over time. Quality came first, cost second.
Bitlog fit that brief. Instead of reading a label, pickers are shown what to pick and where it sits, then scan both the shelf and the carrier to confirm each pick. The check moved off the packer's eyes and into the system, which is exactly what let Morgenlevering keep adding to the range instead of holding it back.
Morgenlevering runs Bitlog WMS as a focused pick-and-pack operation.
Packers see exactly what to pick and where it sits, so the day's work reads off the tablet instead of off a table full of products.
Learn moreEach pick is confirmed by scanning both the shelf and the carrier, so a misread label can no longer turn into a mispick.
Learn moreThe whole operation is visible as it happens, on site or off, so issues get caught on the floor rather than in the returns pile.
Learn moreNew staff is ready to pick orders almost immediately, which matters when the team scales up for busy evenings.
Learn more“The best thing about Bitlog is that it's live. You can see what's happening, whether you're at the warehouse or in the Bahamas.”
Adding scan-verified picking meant asking a fast, hand-packing team to change how it worked, and Morgenlevering knew that would cost some speed at first. It let efficiency dip on purpose during the switch, because the goal was higher quality and a wider range, not a faster version of the old way.
Within months, efficiency had climbed back above the pre-system level, this time on a far stronger setup. The dip was the price of a foundation that could carry more products without more mistakes.
“I'd recommend Bitlog to any company that wants an easier day-to-day in production or inventory.”
The first win was accuracy. The bigger win was everything that accuracy unlocked. With picking verified rather than trusted to the eye, Morgenlevering could offer breakfast packages and gift bundles it could never have assembled reliably by hand, and that wider range became a real driver of growth.
The team credits the broader assortment behind the jump, a range that only became safe to offer once picking was reliable.
Scan-verified picking replaced the single point of failure, reading a label, so far fewer wrong items leave the warehouse.
Volume swings night to night, and the system keeps pace without a stall, because a halt means packages don't ship.
Efficiency dipped on purpose during the switch, then climbed back above the old level within about a year on a stronger setup.
Morgenlevering moved from manual packing to Bitlog, a WMS built for e-commerce fulfillment, and changed what its warehouse could take on.
Scan-verified picking on tablet cut the return rate to roughly half of its relaunch level, and because new packers learn the system in minutes, the operation absorbs the nightly swing of 1,500 to 3,000 orders without slowing down.
Most importantly, reliable picking let Morgenlevering expand into flexible breakfast packages and gift bundles, the range behind 25% revenue growth from 2024 to 2025.
With a live view of the whole floor and support on hand when a busy night gets tight, the team has a warehouse setup that grows the assortment instead of capping it.
Verified picking let Morgenlevering offer breakfast and gift bundles it couldn't have assembled reliably by hand, turning assortment into a growth lever.
The return rate runs at about half of its relaunch level, even as the team packs up to 3,000 orders a night.
Because the system is learned in minutes, Morgenlevering can add packers for a busy evening without adding risk.
